D1 database
Cloudflare's SQLite database, reached with env.DB. This page runs the whole CRUD cycle against the items table - create, list, edit and delete - and every answer carries the fresh list, so the table is never out of date. Locally wrangler keeps the database in a file under .wrangler/state/v3/d1.

The worker validates the title, the notes and the status before it writes the row, and answers with the item it created.
